HISTORY

Father De Kuiper was already making custom-made frying ovens in his workshop on the Drechtdijk in Uithoorn as early as 1971. It would not take long for his 2 sons Kees and Jan De Kuiper to join their father. Both sons started at the bottom of the ladder and were required by the founding father to go through all stages of the production process in order to master all the tricks.

After sons Kees and Jan took over the company, a new larger-scale business building was built in Vrouwenakker.

De Kuiper Horeca experienced steady international growth. The brand name ORANDA saw the light of day and became a household name among professional fryers who value quality and design.

After 30 years of hard work on this success story, Kees and Jan felt the time had come to slow down through the contribution of Co Verlaan and Hendrik Jan Kamphof. In order to safeguard and further expand the position of innovative and reliable supplier in the future, the strategic choice was made to become part of the DUCATE GROUP, which stands for Dutch Catering Equipment, as an independent company. Due to the increasing demand for ORANDA fryers, the company moved into an even larger production hall in Woerden in 2020 to enable the required increase in production capacity.
